print modes

1. offline operation

Coding and marking can be done using this printer on hand-held mode, as opposed to automated online mode. On Hand-held mode the machine uses the encoder for print synchronization and gives a perfect print. This is ideal for relatively smaller manufacturers whose daily production is somewhere around a few hundred to a few thousand.

2. online operation

The printer can be fitted onto production lines or onto a conveyor belt and can be used to print on various surfaces whilst still on the production line or can be used for faster coding on a separate conveyor altogether. The printer can be placed an average distance of 5 mm from the product.

This is ideal for large scale manufacturers who cannot afford to waste time coding each one individually. This method also saves labor costs significantly.

Cartridges are of 2 main types

Aqua Cartridge - These cartridges print on Cardboard and paper surfaces only and cannot print on surfaces such as glass and polythene. These Cartridges use ink similar to the common permanent markers.
Quick Dry Solvent Cartridge - These are based on chemical solvents and therefore can print on virtually any surface. These types of cartridges are further divided into many other categories such as foods grade (for the foods industry) , Heat resistant (printing on-line in hot production lines)
